Blackstreet singer Teddy Riley has taken legal action against Lady Gaga over here 2009 song ‘Teeth’.
Former Blackstreet singer Teddy Riley has filed suit against the star, claiming he produced the track in 2009 and was promised 25 per cent of writing fees, according to TMZ.
Instead, the musician claims he received nothing.
Teeth featured on Gaga’s album The Fame Monster.
Riley is reportedly suing for $500,000 and additional punitive damages.
A spokesperson for the singer has yet to comment publicly on the allegations.
Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, is currently preparing for the November 6 release of her new album, ARTPOP.
The 27-year-old star has been giving regular updates about ARTPOP over the last month, promising to debut a track each time she visits a new country.
Fans have gone so far to camp outside the studio to get a glimpse at their idol and Gaga made sure to show her appreciation for them in a tweet last month.
“monsters sleeping outside the studio last night. left at 5 am and said how come you guys are still here! they said to support you. so rad (sic),” she wrote.
Finishing the record seems to have been exhausting process for the singer.
She recently revealed she was still putting the finishing touches on the record as late as early October.
“The head is crowning. ARTPOP birthing pains #NoEpidural SPREAD ‘EM Venus the goddess is coming! (sic),” she tweeted.
