Lana Del Rey reportedly performed for Kanye West and Kim Kardashian on the eve of their wedding.
Rumours had been flying for weeks about Lana singing at the wedding, and it looks like the couple got their wish.
Lana was spotted at the Palace of Versailles earlier on Friday by TMZ, and Us Weekly confirmed she performed there on Friday night for the party.
The outlet goes on to reveal that Kim and Kanye took their guests on a private tour of Versailles, which was followed by brunch at Valentino’s home and a fireworks display.
The actual wedding ceremony is said to be planned for Saturday May 24 at Forte di Belvedere in Florence, Italy.
Kanye previously used a cover of Lana’s song Young and Beautiful when he proposed to her in October.
‘Kanye knew how much Kim loved Lana’s music, which is why he tried to get her to perform at the proposal,’ a source told UK newspaper The Mirror.
‘So he upped the offer to perform at the wedding and told Lana that it’s his and Kim’s special song and it would mean so much to have her perform it. She couldn’t say no.’
Kanye apparently wanted the star to be there in person to sing for Kim. Lana couldn’t make it, but clearly Kanye got his way in the end.
‘Lana politely declined, and didn’t give any reason for not being able to perform. It was a very firm no from Lana and her camp,’ a source told Radar Online.
‘Kanye did try to push it, but didn’t get anywhere. Kanye decided to hire an orchestra to perform the song for Kim, and he was much happier with how it turned out.’
