LeAnn Rimes has been hospitalised after contracting a ‘massive infection’.
The 30-year-old singer missed a show in Wendover, Nevada on Friday after falling ill.
She took to Twitter to update fans on how she was feeling.
‘WORST way ever to kick off a tour…..under anesthesia and a massive infection,’ the singer tweeted.
‘I feel like I got hit in my right side of my face with a baseball bat :( NOT a good feeling when I am getting on a plane.’
But her condition only seemed to worsen.
On Sunday she blogged about being taken to the emergency room.
‘The ER at 3am, THAT is an interesting place to be,’ LeAnn wrote.
After seeing doctors, the singer seemed to show signs of improvement.
She told fans she was ‘feeling better’ thanks to the help of husband Eddie Cibrian’s best friend, an ER doctor.
LeAnn’s specific condition remains a mystery, but the singer alluded to having dental problems.
‘I’ve had too many detours this year due to dental issues. I’m finally in great hands and being well taken care of,’ she wrote.
The country singer voluntarily admitted herself into a rehabilitation centre in August to deal with mounting anxiety and stress.
