Jimmy Page has revealed the he is working on remastering all of Led Zeppelin’s albums and that they plan to release one box set per album, starting next year.
The legendary guitarist told Mojo in an interview that there are a number of Led Zeppelin projects that will come out in 2013. He spoke of there being a box set for each album, which would include extra music with each release.
Similarly, manager Peter Mensch has told the U.K.’s Sunday Times that Page is holed up in a west London studio “remastering every Led Zeppelin LP.”
The remasters project certainly appears to be well in the works, with The Australian also reporting on Monday that Shepard Fairey is doing the cover art.
While fans wait to see what goodies these box sets may hold, they will no doubt be checking out Celebration Day, which had its cinema release last month.
In other Led Zeppelin news, it was reported this week that frontman Robert Plant, who will be coming to Australia next March for Bluesfest, is collaborating with Primal Scream on their new album.
Plant has worked with them before, contributing a harmonica solo to the track “The Lord Is My Shotgun” on their seventh studio album Evil Heat.
Also making the trip down under soon, Primal Scream are set to perform at the Meredith Music Festival in December.
