Led Zeppelin played their final show with drummer John Bonham on July 7, 1980, 35 years ago today.
Bonham died on 25 September 1980, bring the group to an end. Led Zeppelin have rarely reformed in the past 35 years. There was a three song set for Live Aid in 1985 with Phil Collins on drums. Led Zeppelin played four songs for the Atlantic Records 40th Anniversary but the only full show they have done was on December 10, 2007 at the O2 in London with Jason Bonham filling in for his late father.
Warner Music will release the three last chapters of the Led Zeppelin remastered and expanded editions with ‘Presence’, ‘In Through The Out Door’ and ‘Coda’ at the end of this month.
