Led Zeppelin fans need to pickup the new concert film, Celebration Day, when it’s released on November 19 as that very well may be the last time you’ll see the group in concert.
In a new Rolling Stone interview, Jimmy Page was asked the inevitable question about getting together with Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and, possibly, drummer Jason Bonham for more reunion shows. He said “I think if there had been any more concerts to be done, we’d already be talking about them so I don’t see it” adding that Celebration Day “is a testament to what we did in 2007. There it is.”
Over time, there have been small clues dropped keeping the door open for future shows but those have been slowly closing recently with statements from the various members. Plant is very busy exploring American roots music and John Paul Jones has been involved in a wide variety of projects from bluegrass to rock.
Jones recently told the magazine in reference to further shows “When I move house, I never look back at the house and go, ‘Oh, that’s the last moment I’ll see there.’ I always move forward.”
