Leon Russell To Play Antone’s Austin During SXSW

The legendary Leon Russell will perform at SXSW 2016 in Austin, Texas.

Russell rose to fame as the bandleader for Joe Cocker’s Mad Dog’s and Englishman tour which became a classic concert movie. He also appeared with George Harrison at the Concert for Bangla Desh.

Leon Russell is both a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriter’s Hall of Fame inductee. As a songwriter, his songs like ‘Delta Lady’, This Masquerade’ and ‘A Song For You’.

In 2010 Elton John recorded the album ‘The Union’ with Leon Russell.

Leon Russell will showcase at Antone’s in Austin, Texas at 11:30pm on March 16, 2016.
