Leona Lewis is working with Adele’s favourite record producer as she isn’t ‘sentimental’ about her team.
Leona has been laying down tracks for her third album Glassheart, which is due out in October. She is determined to make it a smash hit and wants to work with the best in the business.
It means she is teaming up with Fraser T. Smith, who is behind Adele hits such as Set Fire to the Rain.
‘Fraser has produced some massive songs and has something of a Midas touch. He is a great signing,’ a source told British newspaper The Mirror.
‘The label simply can’t be sentimental, so some of those credited on the last album, Echo, are absent this time around.’
2009’s Echo didn’t sell as well as was expected and Leona’s team are determined that won’t happen again.
The 27-year-old star has been heavily involved in choosing who she will work with on Glassheart and is reportedly thrilled with the outcome.
Leona found fame on UK TV show The X Factor in 2006. Her debut record Spirit topped the charts in nine countries, with those around her hoping to emulate that success this time around.
Fraser firmly believes Glassheart will surprise many.
‘It’s been amazing. People have preconceptions of what Leona is, so you want to keep that essence and keep pushing the boundaries,’ he has said.
