Helpmann Award-winner and living legend Leonard Cohen is likely to release a new album next year.
A statement has been issued that Cohen next studio album will be released in the Northern Hemisphere’s Spring next year.
Prospective song titles have been bandied about, including ‘Born In Chains’, ‘A Street’, ‘Darkness’, ‘Love’, ‘Lullaby’ and ‘Feel So Good’.
Many of these songs have already been tested on stage during his recent World Tour.
Cohen has been scooping up prizes this year, including a Helpmann Award for his recent performance at Hanging Rock, Spain’s Prince of Asturias Award for letters, and Canada’s Glenn Gould Award for a lifetime contribution to the arts.
Cohen’s last studio album was 2004’s Dear Heather although he has released two live albums since then.
