Lil Wayne reportedly lost sense of where he was due to extreme exhaustion last weekend.
The 32-year-old Lollipop rapper performed at the Jones Beach Theater in New York as the headliner act for the Billboard Hot 100 Festival on Saturday August 22.
But according to PageSix, Lil Wayne suffered a momentary mental lapse when he arrived at the event, as the musician was completely bemused on his location.
‘He looked around and was like, ‘I thought this was supposed to be the Billboard Music Awards’,’ a source told the outlet.
Apparently Lil Wayne was exhausted beyond belief when he arrived at the Billboard Hot 100 Festival.
But fans in the audience couldn’t tell, as he put on a rocking show.
‘I ain’t sh*t without you!” he yelled to the crowd before before performing his hits A Milli, Rich as F**k, Go D.J. and B***hes Love Me, according to Billboard.
He closed out the set with a tribute to the opposite sex.
‘Where the ladies at? This part of the show is for you,’ Wayne said before rapping his hits Lollipop and Mrs. Officer.
And despite Wayne’s alleged exhaustion, he still had enough energy to step in for a surprise appearance during his girlfriend Christina Milian’s set, which started just minutes after he left the stage for his own show.
Unfortunately Christina’s week has not been so pleasant, as she lost her newborn nephew to a rare birth condition.
The little boy died just one day after her sister Danielle gave birth.
‘Our family was blessed to have met our little Angel Baby Richie. We were fighting for him and with him the whole way and are now coping with the direction in which fate took,’ Christina wrote on her Facebook page in mourning. ‘His memory will forever live on in our thoughts and our hearts. May he now rest in peace in the arms of our Heavenly Father . stay blessed. (sic)”
