Frenzal Rhomb guitarist and former Triple J breakfast jock Lindsay McDougall will return to the airwaves at ABC Illawarra later this month.

Lindsay ‘The Doctor’ McDougall has been the lead guitarist with Frenzal Rhomb since 1996, replacing original guitarist Ben Costello. Frenzal Rhomb’s collection of love songs includes “Mum Changed The Locks’, ‘Bucket Bong’, ‘Russell Crowe’s Band’, ‘Forever Malcolm Young’ and the more recent ‘Cunt Act’.

In 2005 Lindsay McDougall and Frenzal Rhomb singer Jason Whalley fronted up for Triple J’s breakfast show as Jay and The Doctor. They hosted the show through until the end of 2009. Whalley left the station and McDougall stayed on to take over Drive (3-5.30pm). He left Triple J in December 2014.

Lindsay announced his radio return through his Facebook page stating, “Hey so I’m a dramatic change of circumstance, I’m back on your radio! Well, if you live in the Illawarra or near the Illawarra. From 3-6pm on 97.3 ABC Illawarra from Monday 22nd January. See you there!”

The ABC announced Lindsay will start on ABC Illawarra on next Monday, 22 January, 2018.
