The new ‘Morning Of The Earth’ tour will have something never done before for the soundtrack – a female singer.
Sydney singer / songwriter is joining original soundtrack performers Brian Cadd and Tim Gaze (Taman Shud) for the Morning Of The Earth tour, starting tomorrow (January 19) in Melbourne.
The original 1972 Morning Of The Earth soundtrack had an all-male cast put together by producers G. Wayne Thomas and Brian Cadd, who also both contributed to the soundtrack.
Cadd performed three songs, ‘Sure Feels Good’, ‘Making It On Your Own’ and ‘Come With Me’. Thomas had a hit single with ‘Open Up Your Heart’ as well as performing the title track and ‘Day Comes’.
The big Sydney surf band of the day was Taman Shud. Lead singer Tim Gaze will reprise his role on the soundtrack with ‘First Things First’, ‘Bali Waters’ and ‘Sea Swells’.
The tour will include scenes from the classic surf movie in the backdrop as well as never-before seen footage added for this tour by director Albe Flazon.
