Lisa Marie Presley will return to Australia in March for her first down under shows in eight years.
Lisa Marie is heading to Australia as part of her Storm & Grace World tour.
In 2012 Lisa Marie Presley released the ‘Storm & Grace’ album, produced by T-Bone Burnett. It was her third album after ‘To Whom It May Concern’ in 2003 and ‘Now What’ in 2005’.
She describes her first two albums as her ‘angry albums’. ““I was angry at all that I was potentially up against — all the expectations — and I was puffing myself up as a protective mechanism,” she says. “At the same time, I was being pushed by the team around me to be a pop star, and to do all these crazy things that I really didn’t want to do.”
After ‘Now What’ she semi-retired and left the USA to live in the English countryside. “I got rid of a lot of the toxicity around me, but I also lost a lot of my drive and love for songwriting,” she says. “The creativity was kind of wrung out of me.”
The Storm & Grace world tour is helping raise money for her new charity partner ‘World Vision’. “World Vision Australia is honoured to partner with Lisa Marie Presley on her upcoming Storm & Grace Tour,” said World Vision chief executive, Tim Costello. “As a passionate child sponsor, Lisa Marie has the ability to touch the hearts and minds of fans and inspire them to consider the difference they can make to the lives of children around the world”.
