Bonnie Raitt has covered the INXS classic ‘Need You Tonight’ for her new album Dig In Deep.

Bonnie Raitt has recorded cover versions of numerous songs over the years and has always (in the words of American Idol) made it her own.

From 1977’s cover of Del Shannon’s Runaway to the Talking Head’s Burning Down the House (1995) to Gerry Rafferty’s Right Down the Line from 2012’s Slipstream, Raitt has managed a unique spin on the iconic songs.

For her new album, Dig in Deep, she takes on the INXS’ 1987 hit Need You Tonight. Stripped down from the 80’s synth rock, it is all Raitt including her classic slide guitar playing.

Raitt’s new album is out this Friday.
