Kasey Chambers has recorded the lead track for the upcoming Ted Hawkins tribute album ‘Cold and Bitter Tears’.
Kasey has recorded the Hawkins track with her father Bill Chambers. The album also features James McMurty, Jon Dee Graham and Danny Barnes paying tribute to the former hobo who found fame then died on January 1, 1995.
The album ‘Cold and Bitter Tears: The Song of Ted Hawkins’, is due October 23, 2015 on Austin-based Eight 30 Records. It will be the first tribute album to the soulful Venice Beach street performer.
