Violent Femmes ‘Love Love Love Love Love’ is the first original new song from the band since 2000.
The last Violent Femmes album was ‘Freak Magnet’ in 2000. Violent Femmes released a one-off cover of Gnarls Barkley’s ‘Crazy’ in 2008. The official break-up came in 2009 after a disagreement over the sale of the rights of their classic ‘Blister In The Sun’ for a Wendy’s ad campaign.
‘Love Love Love Love Love’ will be released on the Violent Femmes Official Record Store Day EP, available on April 18, 2015. The E.P. will be a limited edition 12” with 4 new songs on 180g Champagne Clear 12” Vinyl.
Violent Femmes will tour the USA in June with Barenaked Ladies and Colin Hay. Details here: http://www.vfemmes.com/tour/
