Liza Minelli is singing the praises of David Campbell and his new album with John Bucchino.

On her Facebook page Liza writes, “I recorded a song of John Bucchino’s years ago and he’s one of my favorite composers. John just released a new CD of his songs sung by the wonderful Australian singer David Campbell and it’s terrific”.

Campbell discovered the work of John Bucchino when he was living in New York in the mid 90s. The two struck up a friendship that recently developed to Campbell recording ‘David Campbell Sings John Bucchino’ for Social Family Records.

Bucchino’s work has been recorded by artists such as Art Garfunkel, Kristin Chenoweth and Liza Minelli. He has performed at venues across the world – from the Sydney Opera House to the White House. His work with Harvey Fierstein ‘A Catered Affair’ opened on Broadway in 2008. Most recently, he was commissioned by Danish producer Soren Moller to compose music and lyrics for ‘Esaura’.
