‘Pure Heroine’ by Lorde is the most streamed debut album ever for Spotify.
Lorde’s album was streamed nearly 6 million times in the debut week making it the biggest ever first week for an artist’s debut in the USA.
Globally, there were over 10 million Lorde ‘Pure Heroine’ streams detected.
The song ‘Royals’ was added the Spotify on March 19 and made it to the Hipster playlist with over 900,000 followers on April 2. On April 8, ‘Royals’ debuted in the Spotify Viral Chart and by May was the number one song on the chart.
‘Royals’ has now become the 3rd most shared song in the USA behind Daft Punk ‘Get Lucky’ and Robin Thicke ‘Blurred Lines’.
Based on streams and shares, Lorde ‘Royals’ is now the most viral artist in the USA.
Lorde ‘Pure Heroine’ debuted at no 1 in Australia this week with 20,153 sales on the ARIA chart and came in at number 3 in the USA with 127,226 sales, according to Hitsdailydouble.com
