28-year old Loreen has won the Eurovision song contest for Sweden.
Loreen win was Sweden’s fifth Eurovision win since the contest started. The country has representation in the contest ever since 1958. It last won Eurovision in 1999.
Sweden’s big win was in 1974 when ABBA won for the nation with their song ‘Waterloo’ and launched their career.
Second place this year went to the oldest act in the contest, Buranovskiye Babushk, a choir of elderly women from Russia aka The Singing Grannies.
Loreen won with the song ‘Euphoria’.
