The members of LostProphet say they in shocked at the Child Sex allegations brought against their singer Ian Watkins.

In a statement at the band’s website, the members said, “Following charges made today against Ian Watkins, we find ourselves in a state of shock. We are learning about the details of the investigation along with you. It is a difficult time for us and our families, and we want to thank our fans for their support as we seek answers”.

Watkins, frontman for the Welsh rock band, has been held in custody to face charges of child sex abuse over two young children and making and distributing indecent images of the children. He was also alleged to be in possession of “extreme animal pornography”.
35-year old Watkins and two women aged 20 and 24 have been remanded on the charges. Watkins has denied the charges.
