Louis Tomlinson’s mother apparently thinks him becoming a dad will help ground him.
Earlier this month news broke that the 23-year-old One Direction hunk is expecting a child with close friend Briana Jungwirth. The pair began hanging out earlier this year following Louis’ split from Eleanor Calder and are thought to be keeping their relationship friendly rather than taking it to the next level.
Louis’ mum Johannah is said to have been taken aback by her son’s impending fatherhood, but has high hopes for what’s to come.
“Johannah thinks this is great news for Louis, even though she would rather they had dated properly and waited a while,” an insider told British magazine Closer. “She’s seen how demanding and unreal the whole 1D lifestyle is. She thinks being a dad will help Louis settle down and ground him, make him think about a future beyond the band, and have the chance to do something meaningful with his life.”
The doting mum has apparently reached out to Briana too, offering her help once the tot is born, as she has midwifery experience.
Briana’s own mother Tammi is stepping up as well, along with her dad Joe.
“Briana is very family orientated. Her mum is making sure Louis knows they expect him to be a dedicated and hands-on dad,” the insider added.
Earlier this month Joe spoke out about how his daughter is doing amid the attention surrounding her. He said it’s an overwhelming situation for Briana but that he feels she’s tough enough to overcome everything.
Her mum is even said to be encouraging her to take a break to get away from the media for a while.
