The author of several hit singles for other artists, LP is now emerging as a star in her own right, with her first official headline club show in Los Angeles on November 5th at the famed Troubadour selling out instantly.
The NY born, L.A. singer songwriter has enjoyed a steady ascent over the past year for her emotionally riveting live shows, as well as her debut release for Warner Bros. Records, Into the Wild: Live At EastWestStudios EP, which captures all the action on CD and DVD.
Born Laura Pergolizzi, LP co-wrote Rihanna’s song ‘Cheers’, Christina Aguilera’s ‘Beautiful People’ and ‘Afraid To Sleep’, which was performed by NBC’s The Voice finalist Vicci Martinez and reached #10 on iTunes Top Singles Chart.
With her debut full-length album for Warner Bros. Records nearing completion and due for release in 2013, LP will perform her single ‘Into The Wild’ on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson on November 28th.
The video for this title track has just been posted on YouTube. Directed by MTV Video Music Award-winner Shane Drake and shot at the Four Aces in Palmdale, CA, the ‘Into The Wild’ video stars LP and actresses Brittany Snow and Haley Bennett as they descend into a Thelma & Louise-style reckless adventure across the desert, with a beautiful little twist at the end.
