M.I.A.’s tour rider has leaked and, among the usual food and drink, she requests burka-clad dancers.

The Smoking Gun has nabbed a copy of UK electro artist M.I.A.’s tour rider. It’s fairly prosaic – food, alcohol, towels – but she does specify the hallucinogenic liqueur “absynthe”.
There are also some specifics. While every consumable will preferably be organic, she wants pita bread and hummus, as well as facilities for making tea (“A MUST!”). Terribly English.
She also requests that she has contacts to hire three 20-25 year-old female extras, who must be willing to dance for her entire set. They also must be aware that they’ll be “grooving” in full-covered Islamic burkas.
Thankfully, she notes that “wardrobe will be provided” so there’s no need for the dancers to BYOB.
