Madonna appears to be heading for a potential copyright dispute after using images of famous people for her own shameless self-promotion.
Madonna has associated her upcoming album ‘Rebel Heart’ alongside doctored photos of Martin Luther King Jr, Nelson Mandela, Michael Jackson and Bob Marley as well as Homer Simpson and Jesus Christ.

The images have been modified to portray the historic characters wrapped in plastic thread of rope, like the image of her ‘Rebel Heart’ album.
Madonna released six songs suddenly from ‘Rebel Heart’ after claiming demos from the album had been ‘leaked’. However, chart figures one week into the release showed fans had minimal interest in her new material.
The latest publicity stunt has drawn criticism from fans on Twitter with comments like “#1 pop culture problem of 2015 so far is Madonna force-wrapping peoples’ faces in Rebel Heart promo”, “Stop putting cords around Black people. We free now” and “madonna has two black children. that’s the scariest part about her behavior”.
Madonna’s immediate real problem could be being questioned over the use of the famous faces in her latest publicity stunt.
The ‘Rebel Heart’ album will be released during SXSW week in March.
