Songwriter Malcolm Black and ANC Music Publishing manager Marianna Annas have been announced as the new APRA board members while Pitch Perfect Publishing co-MD Clive Hodson has joined the AMCOS board.
Former Alberts boss David Albert has stood down on the APRA and AMCOS boards and songwriter Dan McGlashan has relinquished his role on the APRA board.
APRA AMCOS Chief Executive, Brett Cottle said: “We know live performance royalties are very important to all of our members who play shows. A healthy live performance ecosystem is critical to the vibrancy of the broader music industry.”
APRA AMCOS reported record growth in 2015/2016 via the release of its annual report in October. Revenue for 2015/16 was up 11% to $333m, and $294.6m was paid to 248,994 songwriters and publishers.
Highlighting its support for songwriters at all stages of their careers, the organisation recently paid $6.75m in live performance royalties to Australian and New Zealand members who submitted Performance Reports.
In order to receive royalties from the funding pool, members had to report their performances for 2015/16.
