Manfred Mann’s first album in ten years, Lone Arranger, will be released on October 17 in Europe and October 20 in the U.K.
At this time, no U.S. deal for release has been announced.
The album is a series of covers including I Heard It Through the Grapevine, Nothing Compares to You, All Right Now and Bang-a-Gong, along with new versions of recordings that features samples of Manfred Mann’s own music by the Prodigy, Kanye West and the Disco Boys.
Featured on the new set are German trumpeter Till Brönner, vocal contributions from Carleen Anderson, Robert Hart, Kris Kristofferson, Noel McCalla, Caitlyn Scarlett, Chris Thompson, Viktoria Tolstoy and Ruby Turner, as well as appearances by members of the Earth Band and others.
Along with the single CD version, there will be a deluxe two-CD set with a disc of out-takes and extras.
