Marc Anthony is being sued by a former employee who claims he lost a finger while working on the singer’s yacht.
Jean-Pierre Perret was a member of the crew onboard Anthony’s yacht, Seas The Day, when the incident happened back in March last year, according to legal documents filed on Friday.
TMZ.com reports that Perret was helping to repair the boat’s broken anchor when something went wrong, and he lost a digit on his right hand.
The former employee of Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband says it was Anthony’s responsibility to ensure the yacht was in good working order, and Perret claims he was never warned that the anchor could be that dangerous.
A representative for the singer has yet to comment.
The new lawsuit comes in a week that sees Anthony hit with more legal action, as he is being sued by a Dutch concert promoter over a series of concerts.
Bosses at R&J Entertainment claim they signed a deal with the 47-year-old for a series of shows in the Netherlands, Spain, and England in 2014 and 2015, but the gigs failed to come to fruition. Executives have since filed suit against the I Need to Know hitmaker for damages.
