Mariah Carey and James Packer have officially gone public with their romance, as the pair walked the red carpet in New York City together Monday (21Sept15) night.
In June (15) speculation emerged suggesting the 45-year-old songstress began dating the 48-year-old Australian billionaire.
And at the close of the 2015 summer season it seems their romance is rapidly growing into something serious, as Mariah took James as her date to the red carpet premiere of new comedy The Intern, which stars Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro.
The couple were all smiles as he gently held the small of her back while they posed for pictures.
Mariah separated from her husband of six years Nick Cannon in 2014 and she shares four-year-old fraternal twins Moroccan and Monroe with her former spouse.
Rumours are rife things are becoming so serious with James, she is considering having more offspring with the businessman.
“She wants another child and is telling friends she’s not too old,” a source told Life & Style magazine.
It’s claimed Mariah is loving all of the romantic encounters she and James enjoy together.
He is supposedly doing everything in his power to literally whisk the singer off her feet.
“Mariah was introduced to James a few months ago by a mutual friend and he’s been on a mission to prove he’s her Prince Charming. Their first date was like a movie scene – he picked her up from her apartment in New York in a limo and took her to a helipad,” a source told British magazine Closer. “Then they flew by helicopter to an airfield where a private jet was waiting for them. They had dinner in the air as the sun was setting over Manhattan, enjoying caviar, champagne and luxury truffles.”
When asked about her new romance with James, Mariah did not embellish her feelings.
‘It’s fun. I’m not gonna lie,” she smiled to Entertainment Weekly.
