Billboards advertising Mariah Carey’s Las Vegas residency have reportedly been banned from two California airports for being too provocative.
Mariah Carey returns to Caesar’s Palace for her #1 to Infinity greatest hits show on 24 August and has reportedly commissioned billboard posters to promote the next set of concerts which show her reclining on a chaise lounge while dressed in an incredibly revealing gold outfit that apparently barely covers her breasts.
According to TMZ.com, bosses of Burbank and Orange County airports in California, which are popular with travellers to Las Vegas, have banned the billboards for being too sexy.
Caesar’s Palace executives are also having issues with the latest billboard and have reportedly requested a censored version, although Mariah is determined to keep the original, risque poster, according to the website.
Mariah began her residency in May, 2015 and has completed four legs. The fifth and final leg is due to conclude on 11 September.
Carey, who is engaged to Australian billionaire James Packer, is also working on an eight-part docu-series called Mariah’s World, which follows the making of her The Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour. The trek ends in November (16) following the Latin America leg, which kicks off in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 28 October (16).
Her fiance, ex-husband Nick Cannon and their five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe are also thought to feature in the series, which airs in the U.S. on 4 December (16).
“I think we’re still drawing lines,” she recently said during the Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour. “I think in the beginning I was withholding the amount of access because I’m never sure who to trust. I just didn’t know how things were going to be perceived… We’re still in the process of filming and getting more real moments.”
