Roxette co-founder Marie Fredriksson has died at age 61.
Roxette’s official website has confirmed Marie’s passing.

Gun-Marie Fredrikkson formed Roxette in 1986 with Per Gessle. They reached no 2 six times in the USA with “The Look”, “Listen to Your Heart”, “Dangerous”, “It Must Have Been Love”, “Joyride” and “Fading Like a Flower (Every Time You Leave)”.
Marie died after a battle with brain cancer. In 1994 she married keyboardist Mikael “Micke” Bolyos, during the Australian leg of “Join the Joyride”. She has two children, a daughter named Inez Josefin and a son named Oscar.
