Mark Holden has been named the official Ambassador Blue September, the fundraising initiative to create nationwide awareness of cancers that effect men.
Blue September’s major event this year is the four day ‘The Queen of the Desert Festival’. The festival is a 720km journey for 4WD owners raveling along the Oodnadatta Track from Maree to Coober Pedy via William Creek, Oodnadatta and the Painted Desert.
Mark will take part in the four-day adventure and fans are invited to frock up their 4WD with an Aussie film theme and take part in the journey.
A maximum of 40 4WD vehicles (with up to four people per vehicle) will compete in the event. The entry is $375 per vehicle plus $50 per additional person over four.
Participants of the event are also encouraged to find sponsors with a goal to raise $30,000 for Blue September to help fight against men’s cancer.
