Mark Poston, EMI Music Australia’s Chairman & Senior Vice President of Marketing, is leaving the company.

Poston, one of the true music people in the business, has resigned from EMI ahead of the take-over by Universal Music.
Universal’s George Ash said in a statement, “Mark inspired a new creative direction for EMI, encouraging innovation and breathing change into the business. His passion to integrate art, design and other creative principles with music was showcased in the EMI Art Project at the creative hub he created in Surry Hills and with the company’s consistent strike rate and successes.”
Mark will be taking a break from the business before reviewing new opportunities.
