Actor Mark Wahlberg will produce a film adaptation of Coheed And Cambria frontman’s graphic novel.
US modern prog rockers Coheed And Cambria are terribly high-concept, and frontman Claudio Sanchez has been working on the mythology of their music and, in turn, The Amory Wars as graphic novels for years.
Now the ideas will be adapted into a feature film in partnership with Mark Wahlberg and Leverage Productions (who are the company behind Boardwalk Empire and Entourage). Sanchez announced it at San Diego’s Comic-Con.
He said, “The relationship with Leverage is one we’ve been searching for. They do amazing, proactive work and are genuinely as passionate about this story as we are, which is essential for such a multi-dimensional title like The Amory Wars. We’re beyond excited.”
The sci-fi epic has already been explored in graphic novels, a full-length text novel, and through Coheed And Cambria albums (the lead couple in the series are Coheed and Cambria Kilgannon).
