Melbourne’s Yarra was finally name-checked on American television this week when singer songwriter Marlon Williams and his band The Yarra Benders performed for Conan O’Brien.

Marlon Williams & The Yarra Benders performed ‘Hello Miss Lonesome’ for Conan on US network TBS.

Melbourne based Marlon Williams was originally from New Zealand. He released his debut album ‘Marlon Williams’, featuring ‘Hello Miss Lonesome’ in February 2016.

Marlon left New Zealand after the Christchurch earthquake and relocated to Melbourne where he took up residency at the Yarra Hotel in the inner Melbourne suburb of Abbotsford.
