Canadian bluesman Matt Andersen tells Noise11 he plans to record a live album with Aussie rocker Diesel.

Andersen visited the Noise11 studios for a chat and a staggeringly good acoustic set, and revealed that during his current Australian tour he’ll record some live music with local blues hero Diesel.

The two paired up and did some songwriting when Andersen played last year’s Woodford Folk Festival during his first visit to Australia.

Now Andersen will pair up with Diesel at Lizotte’s to record some collaborations and individual songs when he visits Newcastle. The show is on Tuesday May 22.

In the meantime, any true blues fans would be foolish to miss Andersen’s sets. The acoustic and interview will be up soon.
