Muse have cancelled three European shows after frontman Matt Bellamy broke his foot.
The band was due to play in Stockholm, Malmo and Oslo as part of their ongoing world tour.
But the Survival hitmakers have been forced to postpone the shows after Matt fractured two bones in his right foot.
“The band have therefore made the difficult decision to cancel these gigs as they feel that they will not be able to do justice to their live show and the fans who have bought tickets with Matt performing on crutches,’ read a statement from the English rockers.
‘Muse would like to apologise to all their fans who have tickets to these shows,” it continued.
Refunds will be available from the point of purchase.
It was not clear at press time how Matt suffered the injury.
The 34-year-old musician tweeted a photo of his X-ray on Thursday alerting fans he was out of commission.
“Ouch! Broke my foot,’ he wrote.
Another picture showed the singer on crutches.
The remaining dates of Muse’s tour are scheduled to go ahead as planned unless doctors deem otherwise.
The band is next scheduled to take the stage in Helsinki, Finland on December 10.
“As soon as we have any news it will be posted on the Muse website, Facebook and Twitter accounts,’ the band said.
