The Corner Hotel in Richmond has added a fifth Matt Corby show, on Sunday February 19, after the rootsy singer sold out the four consecutive nights for his ‘Into The Flame’ tour.

The added show means he’s beaten multiple-show records from Lisa Mitchell, Hilltop Hoods and Wedding Parties Anything and, if it sells out, will equal the record for the most sold out shows from one artist at the Corner set by Megan Washington in 2010.

If you want to help him along, buy a ticket (the $15 price is surely helping) from the Corner Hotel now.

And check out our chat with Corby below.

‘Tina – The Tina Turner Musical’ Is Both Confronting And Stunning #REVIEW

Before seeing ‘Tina – The Tina Turner Musical’ I wondered how the producers would be able to tell the confronting and often violent story of Tina Turner while maintaining the entertainment factor to hold an audience over two plus hours. Let me say, ‘Tina – The Tina Turner Musical’ succeeds on both a historical level and an entertainment level. This is brilliant theatre.

Don’t bother asking 80 year old blues legend Charlie Musselwhite when he is retiring. I did and this was the answer I got. “I haven’t really thought about it a whole lot. I’ve really enjoyed what I am doing and I would love to come back to Australia. We have always loved Australia. Never had a problem there. Its always been a great time, great people, great audiences. Its just a beautiful place to come and we are looking forward to it.”
