Mavis Staples, Rhiannon Giddens, The Cat Empire To Perform At Womadelaide

Mavis Staples, Rhiannon Giddens and The Cat Empire lead a United Nations of artists for Womadelaide 2020.

Artists from Finland, Japan, India, UK, Brazil, USA, Kenya, France, Australia, Denegal, Italy and Mali make up the first artist announcement for the 2020 music festival.

“We are thrilled to be announcing a program which includes artists at the peak of their craft exemplified by Salif Keitaand Mavis Staples, as well as Orquesta Akokán –a stunning tribute to the Cuban big band era -and apowerful call to arms on climate change in As the World Tipped,” said WOMADelaide Director, Ian Scobie.
