Meat Loaf has been threatening to retire from touring for some time but, like Cher, we had stopped taking him seriously. On Tuesday, he announced his supposed final tour of the U.K. (and, supposedly, other parts of the world at a later date) with the Last At Bat Tour.
According to sources, the shows will be split into two parts, the first with most of his hits and the second being a complete performance of his breakthrough album, Bat Out of Hell.
The tour is said to be a way for the singer to “bid a final goodbye to his fans.”
“I know the fans will enjoy the show as much as I enjoyed putting it together.”
The singer recently had knee surgery to get ready for the tour which starts April 5 in Newcastle, England.
