Thrash metal originators Megadeth have announced details of their lucky thirteenth album.
The album, aptly-titled TH1RT3EN, is the follow-up to their 2009 album Endgame.
It’s the first album since bassist Dave Ellefson returned to the band; he was part of the band’s “classic” line-up from 1983 to 2002.
Megadeth ringleader Dave Mustaine told Rolling Stone that the name has more than just one meaning.
He first picked up a guitar at the age of thirteen, and he said, “I was born on September 13th; this is my thirteenth record. It just seemed like it was the right thing to do to call it TH1RT3EN.”
TH1RT3EN will be release on November 1 through Roadrunner Records.
