Meghan Trainor has confirmed she is recording an original song for ‘Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie’.
According to Lucy van Pelt, the song, ‘Better When I’m Dancin’,’ promises to knock your block off. Music enthusiasts Snoopy and Woodstock could not be reached for comment, but did release this statement, ‘/’!’/’/’!/’!’ The Peanuts own virtuoso Schroeder added, ‘Please don’t touch my piano.’
Meghan Trainor commented: ‘I was thrilled to be offered the chance to see an early version of ‘Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie’ and to then be inspired to write a song that captured the film’s spirit, energy and sense of joy. It was a pleasure to work with director Steve Martino to make sure the song did right by the incredible characters that the team is bringing to the big screen. I can’t wait for everyone to hear the song!’
‘Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie’ flies into theatres everywhere on December 21, 2015. A year that also marks the 65th anniversary of the debut of the ‘Peanuts’ comic strip and the 50th anniversary of the landmark television special, ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas.’
Charles Schulz drew the most popular and influential comic strip of all time, which was read every day by 355 million people in 75 countries.
‘Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie’ soundtrack will have its worldwide release on October 23, 2015 on Epic Records.
