Mick Jagger’s partner Melanie Hamrick has premiered her ballet ‘Port Rouge’, set to the music of The Rolling Stones.
‘Port Rouge’ (French for Red Door) features the Stones song ‘Paint It Black’ with the lyrics “I see a red door and I want to paint it black’.
Hamrick choreographed the ballet. ‘Port Rouge’ also features the Stones songs ‘Sympathy for the Devil’ and ‘She’s A Rainbow’.
‘Port Rouge’ had its world debut at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, Moscow on 26 March, 2019.
Hamrick is the mother of Mick Jagger’s ninth child, 2-year-old Deveaux. This week The Rolling Stones cancelled their North American tour as Mick Jagger undergoes heart surgery.
