41-year old Adrian Thomas aka DJ Ajax died overnight in Melbourne after being struck by a car.
Ajax was one of Melbourne’s best-known DJs having performed on tours for Daft Punk, MSTRKRFT, Mylo and Bloody Beetroots.
He has remixed Midnight Juggernauts ‘Shadows’, Gerling ‘Good Timing’ and Princess Superstar vs Da Fresh ‘Perfect Disco’.
DJ Ajax was a founding member of the production collective Bang Gang who were signed to Modular Recordings. He founded Sweat It Out Records featuring Yolanda Be Cool and Oh Snap.
Ajax had been a resident DJ at Chinese Laundry for the past seven years. The Chinese Laundry twitter posted in the early hours of this morning:
