The anime-themed Animetal, featuring players from Blue Oyster Cult, Ozzy Osbourne, Slayer, Testament and more, debut in the US.
The band have already gone gold in Japan with their inspired mix of anime and metal, and are about to bring their fine pedigree to their native shores of the US with their self-titled debut album.
Check out this line-up: Mike Vescera on vocals (Obsession and ex-Loudness), bassist Rudy Sarzo (Blue Oyster Cult, ex-Ozzy Osbourne, Quiet Riot, Whitesnake, Dio), guitarist Chris Impellitteri (from Impellitteri), and drummer Jon Dette (ex-Slayer, Testament). And Dette is replacing Judas Priest’s Scott Travis who is still on the road with that band’s farewell tour.
The album will be released in the US with four bonus tracks that didn’t appear on the Japanese release, which was made famous through Naruto anime spin-off Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals.
Animetal will be released on Century Media on June 26. Check out their mental live show below.
