Metallica has always made it clear that their new 3D film, Through the Never, will have story elements included with the concert footage. Skeptics said “So what? So was Spice World.”
During this past weekend’s Comic Con, the band debuted the trailer for the film and we’ll be perfectly clear, this is definitely no Spice World.
The film appears to be part concert and part post-apocalyptic journey by a roadie for the band who is on a mission through the city.
“It’s two separate worlds — a Metallica show and a story that unfolds in a parallel universe — and at some point they intertwine,” says Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich.
‘Through The Never’ will premiere worldwide early in October.
