Metallica will release the four-track ‘Beyond Magnetic’ EP on CD at the end of the month.

‘Beyond Magnetic’ was rush-released soon after the disastrous Lou Reed collaboration ‘Lulu’ to divert fans back to a decent sounding Metallica.
The four songs are rough, unfinished mixes from the Death Magnetic album of 2008. Parts of the recordings were originally heard in the ‘Mission:Metallica’ videos from around that time.
The ‘Beyond Magnetic’ EP will be released on CD world-wide to retail on January 30 and in North America on January 31, 2012.
