Michael Jackson’s killer Conrad Murray has been released from jail and has reportedly been writing a book about Jackson in prison.
Murray was the late King of Pop’s personal physician and has just been released from prison after being found guilty of his involuntary manslaughter.
He served half of his four-year sentence and apparently used his time inside to get prepared for his exit from jail. According to TMZ, Murray is part way through a tome about the singing superstar.
“During his time in LA County Jail, Murray penned a large portion of a book about his life and his time with Michael Jackson. We’re told a big chunk of the Jackson story casts blame on others and justifies his conduct in the treatment that ultimately killed the singer and sent Murray to the slammer,” TMZ reports.
The physician left the prison via the back door at just after midnight local time on Monday. He was escorted from the premises in a police cruiser, but no further details are known at the moment.
Murray was hired by Jackson in 2009 as he prepared for his series of comeback shows in London called This Is It. Then men knew each other before and were friends.
Jackson died in June 2009 of acute Propofol intoxication – having used the powerful anaesthetic to help him sleep as he battled insomnia.
The physician has always insisted he did nothing wrong while treating Jackson, alleging Jackson gave himself the fatal dose of medication.
It’s thought his book will cover his whole time with Jackson, while Murray is also said to be keen to star in a reality TV show. It’s unknown what the premise of the series would be, although it could follow him as he attempts to reintegrate into everyday life.
He is not thought to have found a publisher for his book or a producer for the programme yet.
