Michael Jackson’s father has apparently revealed he carries a gun wherever he goes.

Joe Jackson reportedly made the comments during an appearance at the Tuscany Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas recently.
According to TMZ, Joe opened his suit jacket to reveal a handgun ‘holstered by his hip’ after telling the crowd, “I carry a piece everywhere I go… I’m gonna show it to you. I’ve been threatened a lot of times and so I need to be safe.”
Joe’s revelation came after his friend Majestik introduced him onto the stage and recalled an incident when Joe confronted Michael’s bodyguards just weeks before his death in 2009.
Majestik claimed Joe flashed a gun at the late superstar’s security team before warning them, “If I hear you all givin’ my son drugs or doing anything illegal with my son … I’ma kill all of you.”
As Joe took over the microphone at the Las Vegas event he confirmed Majestik’s story was accurate.
“It’s very true. Every word he said,” he admitted.
Michael died of acute Propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication after suffering from cardiac arrest. His personal physician Conrad Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and is currently serving his sentence at the Los Angeles County Jail.
Joe was apparently in Las Vegas to be honoured at the Black Music Awards.
