Le Poisson Rouge on Bleecker Street in New York will be rocking tonight with the sounds of Micky Dolenz and Frankie Valli as the pair are honored by Rockers on Broadway.
Rockers on Broadway is an annual show that benefits the Path (Performing Artists That Help) Fund, which “gives artists in many fields an avenue to share their unique talents while helping raise money for charities that benefit arts and entertainment organizations.” Among the organizations that receive funds are the Broadway Dreams Foundation, Broadway Cares, the ASCAP Foundations’ Children Will Listen Fund, Save the Children and Unicef.
Among those on hand to perform the music of the two musical honorees will be Peter Tork, Megan Hilty, Constantine Maroulis (Rock of Ages), Lena Hall (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Nick Cordero (Bullets Over Broadway), Donnie Kehr (Jersey Boys), Jarrod Spector (Beautiful) and many more.
Also being honored during the evening are veteran DJ Cousin Bruce Morrow who will receive the Ambassador of Rock Award.
