Midnight Oil Poster Bid Reaches $1500

Bidding for the signed Midnight Oil poster from Songland Records’ RSPCA auction has reached $1500.

Songland Records chief executive Brian ‘Frog’ Harris has had the Oils poster for decades and asked the members of Midnight Oil to sign the poster when they last toured through Canberra.

The poster has the handwritten signatures of Peter Garrett, Rob Hirst, Jim Moginie, Martin Rotsey and Bones Hillman.

“I have been saving this poster since working at RCA Records in the early 1980’s and finally got the chance to have it autographed when the band played in Canberra earlier this year,” Frog said in a statement.

“Songland Records are now offering you the chance to own this unique piece of Rock Memorabilia. All proceeds from the auction will be used to help the animals at the Weston RSPCA shelter.

“The auction ties in with Songland’s famous instore sale of 1000’s of records, CDs, DVDs and cassette tapes, kindly donated by the general public, that also go towards helping the animals at the RSPCA.”

The dimensions of the poster are 100cm x 150cm (approx. 40 x 60 inches).

Inspection is not available, however any enquiries can be directed to Songland Records – +61 2 62934677 or by email [email protected]
